Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Overview:
Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the team. The successful candidate will work with students with varied needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Behaviour difficulties, Down Syndrome, and wheelchair users, providing support and assistance to help them thrive in their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with diverse needs in their academic and personal development
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Provide one-on-one support and small group interventions as needed
- Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students to learn and grow
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with varied needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Behaviour difficulties, Down Syndrome, and wheelchair users, is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs
- Understanding of inclusive practices and differentiation strategies
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field
