Teaching Assistant - SEN
Overview:
The School is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The school caters for children aged 5 to 11 years old with Autism, providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with Autism in their academic and personal development
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning environment
- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Autism is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations
- Understanding of behavior management techniques
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field
