Job Title: Special Educational Needs TA
Type: Full-time
Salary: £85-£90 per day PAYE
Overview:
SEN School is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The school caters to primary and secondary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and complex needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to students with SEN in both primary and secondary settings
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
- Support students with ASD, PMLD, and complex needs in their academic and personal development
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD, PMLD, and complex needs, is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain patient and calm in challenging situations
- Understanding of behavior management techniques
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field
