Job Title: SEMH Learning Support Assistant
Location: SEMH School, Croydon
Salary: £93 to £110 per day
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic team at a specialist school in Croydon, catering to children aged 8 to 16 years with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As a SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with their education and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide tailored support, ensuring each student can thrive in a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the learning and emotional well-being of students aged 8-16 with SEMH needs.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support where necessary.
• Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or additional needs is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact in students' lives.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and senior staff.
