SEN Teaching Assistant in Sutton

Position: Contract SEN Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. - Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities. - Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). - Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. - Facilitate a supportive and inclusive learning environment. - Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required.

Skills and Qualifications: - Experience working with children with special educational needs. - Understanding of various SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities. - Ability to employ different teaching strategies to meet individual student needs. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. - Relevant qualifications or training in SEN education (preferred).

Contract Details: - Temporary contract with potential for extension. - Competitive hourly rate. - Flexible working hours.
