Job Title: Secondary Science Teacher (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

Location: Bromley Area

Salary Range: MPS/UPS (Inner London Pay Scale)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (10 Weeks)

Start Date: September 2024

I am recruiting on behalf of a sought after secondary school in South London for a Secondary Science Teacher on a fixed-term contract for 10 weeks, starting in September 2024. This role involves teaching Biology, Chemistry, or Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. It is a fantastic short-term opportunity for a teacher looking to gain experience in an outstanding academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Collaborate with the science department to support student progress and attainment.
  • Regularly assess and track student performance, providing feedback and necessary interventions.
  • Contribute to the positive school culture through pastoral support as a form tutor.
  • Person Specification:
  • QTS and relevant qualifications (e.g., PGCE) in Science.
  • Experience teaching Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
