SEMH Teaching Assistants Needed
Location: SEMH School, Croydon
Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £95 to £100 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: September
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to join the team at a specialised school in Croydon. This role involves working closely with young people aged 5 to 16 years old who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff to support student progress.
- Engage students in educational and therapeutic activities.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
