Age Range of Pupils: 7 to 16 years old
Working Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm
Pay £95 to £110 per day
Start Date: September
Job Description: We are working with an fantastic SEMH School who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their school in Croydon for September. The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 7 to 16 years old, supporting their educational and emotional needs. This role requires a patient and understanding individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in their academic and personal development.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet the needs of individual students.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an SEMH setting.
- Training in behaviour management techniques.
