Job Title: Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Location: Croydon

School Type: SEMH School (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)

Age Range of Pupils: 7 to 16 years old

Working Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm

Pay £95 to £110 per day 

Start Date: September

Job Description: We are working with an fantastic SEMH School who are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their school in Croydon for September. The successful candidate will work with pupils aged 7 to 16 years old, supporting their educational and emotional needs. This role requires a patient and understanding individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in their academic and personal development.
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that meet the needs of individual students.
• Foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support pupil development.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
• A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of young people.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant qualifications in education or child development.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an SEMH setting.
• Training in behaviour management techniques.
