SEN Teaching Assistant in Wimbledon (SW19)

Responsibilities:
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assist the classroom teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student needs.
- Assist with classroom management and organisation.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience. Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with children with SEN.
- Teaching Assistant qualification or similar is preferred.
