Location: Shirley
School: Ofsted Rated 'Good' Mainstream Primary School
Position: Year 3 General Classroom Teaching Assistant (TA)
Focus: Supporting 5 Pupils with SEN Needs

Role Overview:

They are seeking a committed and proactive primary school Teaching Assistant to support their diverse and dynamic Year 3 classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support all students, with a particular focus on 5 pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is vital in helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide tailored support to 5 pupils with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Support the social and emotional development of all pupils.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Help prepare and maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting children with SEN.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting students and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
