Food Tech Teacher / KS3/4 / Outstanding School / Hounslow

Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners?

Future Education is excited to announce an opening for a Food Technology Teacher who can instruct up to GCSE level. This position is located in a mixed-gender school in Hounslow, part of a prestigious Academy trust. The school has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, ensuring a top-notch working environment. This is a permanent, full-time role starting in September 2024.

Role expectation:

  • Developing and organizing lesson plans and project materials, maintaining an engaging and well-equipped teaching space
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen and classroom equipment, adhering to Health and Safety standards
  • Offering hands-on support during classes, including leading practical demonstrations and specific classroom activities
  • Conducting general upkeep and DIY tasks, such as constructing new equipment and modifying existing setups

Requirements:

  • Must hold QTS or QTLS
  • Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply
  • Previous experience teaching Food Technology at the GCSE level
  • Possession of a current, clean enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Recent Safeguarding training certification
  • Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm, and a proactive, hands-on approach
