Employability Lecturer

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and innovative Special Educational Needs (SEN) College who are looking for an Employability Lecturer. As an Employability Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for life beyond education by providing them with essential employability skills and life skills.

This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible and the salary will be equal to the main Lecturers’ pay scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and interactive employability and life skills lessons to students with a variety of special educational needs including ASD, PMLD and complex needs.
• Tailor instruction to meet the unique learning needs and abilities of each student.
• Create and maintain a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other college staff to ensure a holistic approach to students' educational and life skill development.

Requirements:

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in education, special education, or a related field.
• Teaching experience in the field of employability and life skills, preferably in a SEN setting.
• Strong understanding of special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dedication to promoting the independence and well-being of students with diverse abilities.
