Job Description

Position: Contract Year 5 Teacher

Location: Islington, London

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Year 5 Teacher to join our team in Islington. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils in Year 5, ensuring that they make good progress and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities: - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils in Year 5. - Assess and monitor pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets for improvement. - Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and encourages pupils to develop a love of learning. - Work collaboratively with other members of staff to develop schemes of work and resources that are aligned with the school's curriculum and ethos. - Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any issues that may arise.

Essential skills and qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience. - Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment procedures. - Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment. - Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. - A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to improve teaching practice.

Desirable skills: - Experience of teaching in a multicultural and diverse environment. - Knowledge of the latest teaching methods and technologies. - Experience of working with pupils with SEND or EAL needs.
