Job Description
SEN School located in Orpington is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a Monday to Friday full time contract role. **Immediate Start**
The ideal candidate will have experience in working with students with ASD and Complex Needs, Learning Difficulties and providing 1:1 support in a SEN school. You will be supporting children and young people and working at an outstanding inclusive school which is supportive and incredibly welcoming!
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN
- Assist in planning and delivering effective learning activities
- Manage challenging behaviour and provide emotional support
- Work with teachers to monitor and assess student progress
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour
- Liaise with parents, carers and outside agencies as required
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with ASD and Complex Needs, Learning Difficulties and providing 1:1 support in a SEN school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and provide emotional support
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Relevant qualifications and/or training in SEN
- Enhanced DBS to work with children or able to pay for one immediately
- Able to commute to Orpington easily
