Job title – Maths Teacher

Maths Teacher - Location: Wimbledon

We are currently recruiting for a qualified Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality and tailored maths education to Post-16 students with Autism. As a Maths Teacher in this specialised SEN school, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the academic and personal growth of students with SEN.

You will be working in the Post-16 unit of a thriving SEN School that caters to students aged 3-19 with a variety of special needs.

This is a full-time, long term role with a view to going permanent and the salary will be equal to the main teachers’ pay scale plus SEN points.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons suitable for students with diverse SEN.
• Adapt teaching methods and resources to cater to various learning styles and abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
• Regularly assess and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and additional support as needed.
• Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Maths education.
• Prior experience teaching students with SEN, particularly in a post-16 setting, is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency in SEN-specific teaching methods and a commitment to inclusive education practices.
• A genuine passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of students with SEN.
