Special Educational Needs School located in Orpington is recruiting a contract School Cleaner to work 10 hours a week Monday to Friday, 4pm – 6pm for an immediate start.

New opportunity has arisen for a School Cleaner to join the team at a Special Education Needs School in Orpington. This is a term time only contract . The successful School Cleaner is responsible for making sure that the school premises are clean, hygienic and safe for their students and staff.

The successful School Cleaner:

• Must have worked as a School Cleaner in either an SEN School, Primary School, Secondary School or College (this is essential).
• Must have a valid Enhanced DBS check
• You will be cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and other areas of the school premises on a daily basis
• Ensuring that all cleaning equipment and materials are stored securely and used safely
• Reporting any defects or issues to the School Site Manager
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school premises
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Supporting the School Site Manager in carrying out maintenance tasks as required
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential
• Good communication skills (both Oral & Written) and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures
• You have good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• A flexible approach to work and the ability to work independently
• You are in easy commutable distance to Orpington
