PRU located in the London Borough of Greenwich is currently recruiting a 1:1 SEMH Behaviour Support for a 5-day-a-week for an immediate long term contract.
Successful Pupil Referral Unit that offers inclusive Education to students at both Primary and Secondary levels who have been diagnosed with SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), ASD and challenging behaviour. Exciting opportunity supporting children and young people on a 1:1 basis and within small groups within a classroom setting. Working Monday to Friday between 8:20am 4pm every day. In this role you must be able to build a strong rapport with students, empathetic, resilient, dedicated to safeguarding children and able to successfully de-escalate behaviour difficulties in and out of the classroom. Class sizes are small, typically between 5 6 students per class.
The successful SEMH Behaviour Support:
Ideally experience working in a similar role as either a 1:1 Behaviour Support/ SEN TA/ Youth Worker / Behaviour Mentor/ Learning Mentor / LSA / SEN Support Worker or Residential Support Worker
Your SEN Experience, either; ASD / SEMH/ ADHD / ODD/ ADD and or Behaviour Challenges
Developing and implementing behaviour plans
Providing 1:1 support, and working with teachers and other professionals to ensure that students receive the appropriate level of support.
Supporting within the classroom
Enhanced DBS on the update service or able to pay for one immediately
