Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a reputable and inclusive primary school in Haringey, London. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of our students, ensuring they receive the best possible learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students during classroom activities and independent work.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behavior and maintaining discipline.
- Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Help to create and organize learning resources and materials, ensuring they are accessible and appropriate for students.
- Supervise students during break times, lunch, and other school activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with other teaching staff and professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, as required.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and development of young children.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to accommodate diverse student needs.
- Familiarity with relevant educational software and technology is desirable.
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or child development would be an advantage.
