Train Driver – Simulation Training Manager, Birmingham

Opportunity

Train Driver Training Manager required to create Simulations of a safety critical nature to develop the performance and capability of more than 800 train drivers!

Situation

This opportunity promises to be fun, interesting, hold responsibility but with no direct line management of staff. Operating out of a dedicated training facility, the Simulation Training Manager is responsible for the simulation training centre and working with the wider training and development team to provide suitable scenarios to support the development of Train Drivers.

The Right Candidate

We need to find someone with prior experience as a Train Driver in either passenger or freight, and ideally has a background in training and development. You won’t be programming the simulator, but you will be creating scenarios to be ran on the simulator. You will also engage in delivering occasional training sessions.

The most important skill we are looking for is to run the Simulation Centre as a service to the business. We need someone who is going to ensure the availability of the simulators and ensure that the centre is supporting the needs of the business.
