Mechanical Fitter | Milton Keynes | £30,000 - £38,000

Ford & Stanley Talentwise are working with a large Rolling Stock Maintenance and Overhaul business, who are actively recruiting Mechanical Fitters to join their business on a contract basis, supporting their growth plans.

The Opportunity:

You will have the opportunity to join a business with ongoing development plans, benefitting from increased funding with new and exciting projects on the horizon for 2025 and beyond. Working for an employer who will provide you with training and progression opportunities, helping you to expand and develop your knowledge on Rail and Rolling Stock.

The Role:

• Removal of all interior components, including seats, flooring/ carpets, piping etc.
• Refitting of all components - Seats, Grab Rails, Poles etc
• Work from written instruction (VMI)
• Work from Mechanical Engineering drawings working to specific measurements
• Replacing mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings

Key Essentials:

• Previous experience of working within vehicle fitting/building. 
• Comfortable with operating hand and power tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and procedures.
• Ability to work to specific instructions and Engineering drawings.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification within an Engineering discipline.

Hours:

Monday – Friday, weekly rotating shift pattern (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00)
