Electrical and mechanical Technicians

£50,000 to £55,000 with per annum

The Opportunity

Are you a skilled high level Electrical  or Mechanical Engineer looking for a hands-on role with the opportunity to help develop the rail freight industry. Our customer is offering an exciting opportunity to help maintain and optimize state of the art locomotives helping to bring the freight industry into the 21^st century .

Location: East Midlands area with some travel required
Shifts: 12 hour shifts – helping to provide 24 hour coverage (average 36 hours a week)
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000

Role and Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical or mechanical maintenance, fault finding, testing and commissioning and fault diagnostics on rolling stock vehicles
• Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines in a safety critical industry
• Carry out component servicing and repairs
• Fault finding and fault rectification on various rolling stock systems

Candidate
• Experience working in transportation maintenance (HGV / PSV / Ex Military / Car) or Plant or Construction Equipment.
• Must have previous experience of static / dynamic testing
• HND or NVQ level 3 minimum in engineering discipline
• Experience of understanding schematics / engineering
