Phonics Teaching Assistant – Hayes, Hillingdon

Are you confident delivering phonics and passionate about helping young children become confident readers?

A welcoming infant and nursery school in Hayes is looking for a full-time Phonics Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting early reading and phonics within EYFS or Key Stage 1.

As a Phonics Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to provide targeted phonics and literacy support. You’ll work 1:1 and with small groups, helping children develop their sounds, blending, vocabulary, reading fluency and early writing skills.

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to become confident, independent learners. They are looking for someone who can make phonics engaging and enjoyable while providing additional support to children who may need more time to develop their early literacy skills.
