KS1 Teacher

Location: South London | Contract: One Term | Rate: £194 to £259 per day

We are recruiting a KS1 teacher for a one-term contract at a primary school in South London. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to deliver engaging Key Stage 1 lessons and support pupil progress across the foundation stage and early primary years.

About the Role

The KS1 teacher will be responsible for curriculum delivery to infant-age pupils, managing classroom behaviour with consistency, and safeguarding student wellbeing. You will work alongside the primary school team to plan engaging lessons, assess pupil progress, and maintain high standards of teaching across literacy, numeracy, and the broader curriculum. Responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality KS1 teaching across your assigned class
• Supporting pupil progress through targeted intervention and personalised learning
• Maintaining behaviour management standards and a positive classroom environment
• Contributing to curriculum planning and assessment activities
• Communicating with parents and carers on pupil progress and wellbeing
• Upholding safeguarding protocols and duty of care

About You

You must hold QTS or equivalent qualification. We are looking for a KS1 specialist with experience in primary teaching, a passion for early years development, and the ability to engage young learners. You should demonstrate:

• QTS qualification
• Experience teaching KS1 or primary phase pupils
• Effective classroom management and behaviour strategies
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
