Job Title: Food Technology Teacher

Location: Winchester, Hampshire

Salary: £34,068 to £52,835 per year (MPS/UPS equivalent, Rest of England, 2026/27 scale)

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Start Date: September 2026

Ethos Education is working with a welcoming and well regarded secondary school near Winchester, Hampshire to appoint a Food Technology Teacher for a September 2026 start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Food Technology Teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to join a supportive Design and Technology department with well equipped food rooms and strong uptake at Key Stage 4. For the right candidate, a Head of Department position may also be available.

The role:

• Teach Food Preparation and Nutrition across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that build both culinary skill and theoretical understanding
• Contribute to the wider life of a collaborative Design and Technology faculty
• Support students of all abilities to achieve strong outcomes at GCSE

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree or specialism relevant to Food Technology, Food Science or a related subject
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A genuine passion for food education and healthy eating
