MFL Teacher | French Teacher | Spanish Teacher | German Teacher | Suffolk | September 2026

A successful secondary school in Suffolk is seeking a talented MFL Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026.

Applications are welcomed from teachers of French, Spanish, German or any combination of Modern Foreign Languages. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic MFL Teacher to inspire a love of languages, develop confident communicators and help young people gain a broader understanding of different cultures and perspectives.

The successful candidate will teach Modern Foreign Languages across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining a collaborative department that is committed to high standards, evidence-informed teaching and excellent outcomes for all learners. Both experienced teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.

The Role

• Full time, permanent MFL Teacher position

• September 2026 start

• Teach Modern Foreign Languages across KS3 and KS4

• French, Spanish, German or a combination of languages considered

• MPS/UPS salary scale

• Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers

The Successful MFL Teacher Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Ability to teach at least one modern foreign language to KS4

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for language learning

• High expectations for behaviour and achievement

• A commitment to inclusive and engaging classroom practice

• The ability to inspire pupils from all backgrounds
