Location: Tonbridge / Tunbridge Wells area, Kent
Start: September 2026
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: MPS to UPS 

Ethos Education is recruiting a Business Studies & Economics Teacher for a selective secondary school in Kent. This is a permanent role starting in September 2026, suitable for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT with strong subject knowledge.

This grammar school has a well established sixth form with strong uptake in both Business and Economics. Students are academically motivated, classes are engaged and outcomes across KS5 are consistently impressive.

The role

• Teaching Business Studies at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5
• Teaching Economics at A Level
• Preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations
• Delivering structured lessons with strong real world context
• Working within a collaborative department with shared resources

The department

The department has a clear curriculum structure and a strong sixth form presence. Students are encouraged to engage critically with business and economic issues, developing analytical and evaluative thinking alongside subject knowledge.

The candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Degree in Business, Economics or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge in Business and Economics
• Confident teaching KS4 and KS5
• Able to work within a collaborative and academically focused environment
