Science Teacher

Location: East London (Inner London)
Start: September 2026
Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: MPS (Inner London)

Ethos Education is recruiting a Science Teacher for a secondary school in East London. This is a permanent role from September 2026 and is particularly well suited to an Early Career Teacher looking for strong training and proper support from day one.

The school is part of a trust known for its structured and well regarded ECT programme. Training is planned, consistent and embedded into the working week.

The role

• Teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Open to Biology, Chemistry or Physics specialists
• Following shared schemes of work and resources
• Building confidence and subject knowledge in mixed ability classes
• Working within a collaborative Science department

ECT support

• Structured two year ECT programme
• Regular coaching and subject specific feedback
• Reduced timetable in line with entitlement
• Centralised resources to reduce planning load
• A department experienced in supporting ECTs

The candidate

• QTS or working towards QTS
• Degree in a Science subject
• Keen to develop strong classroom practice
• Comfortable working within a shared approach
