Job Description

The Opportunity Are you an expert in early childhood pedagogy with a passion for inclusive practice? We are seeking a Kindergarten Coach and Inclusion Officer to act as a strategic partner for early childhood services across the North West Melbourne area.

In this role, you aren't just a visitor; you are a mentor. You will work alongside teaching teams to refine their approach to diversity, helping them build the internal capacity to support children with additional needs, developmental delays, or complex profiles.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Professional Mentoring: Act as a high level coach for educators, helping them translate inclusion theory into daily classroom reality.

  • Strategic Observation: Conduct targeted site visits to identify barriers to participation and co design environmental adjustments with the teaching staff.

  • Practice Transformation: Lead the implementation of contemporary inclusive frameworks, ensuring every child in our community has a seat at the table.

  • Collaborative Advocacy: Work as a primary link between families, educators, and external agencies to ensure a holistic support network for every learner.

Your Professional Profile We are looking for a specialist who thrives on collaborative problem solving. To be successful, you will need:

  • Academic Background: Early Childhood Qualification (ACECQA recognized).

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive experience in managing complex needs and a deep understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.

  • Consultative Mindset: The ability to influence and lead other professionals without being their direct manager.

  • Safety & Compliance: A current Working with Children Check (Employee) is mandatory.

Why This Role? This is a unique chance to step out of the classroom and into a leadership space. You will enjoy a highly competitive hourly rate while playing a defining role in the quality of early childhood education in the North West Melbourne Area. This position offers the autonomy of a consultant with the stability of a permanent community focused organization.
