A secondary school in the Fareham area is looking for a full time English Teacher to join its established English department. This is a long-term role suitable for an experienced English Teacher or an ECT who wants strong support and a well designed English curriculum.

The role

You will teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school values clear routines, shared planning and a team approach to English teaching. The department uses well structured schemes of work that support high quality literature and language teaching.

You will:
• Teach English at KS3 and KS4 with a focus on strong sequencing
• Deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing and analytical skills
• Support GCSE English preparation
• Contribute to planning and collaborative departmental development
• Promote high standards of literacy across the school

The ideal candidate

You will be a teacher who:
• Holds QTS in English or a related subject
• Has strong English subject knowledge
• Communicates clearly and maintains calm classroom routines
• Is committed to high standards in language and literature
• Works well in a collaborative department
