Contract Permanent, full time
Start January 2026
A specialist SEMH school in West London is seeking a Primary Teacher to join its team working with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a full time, permanent role within a structured and supportive setting focused on stability, wellbeing and long-term impact.
You will teach primary-aged pupils within an SEMH provision, delivering a personalised curriculum that supports both learning and emotional development. Teaching is supported by small class sizes, clear routines and a multidisciplinary team that places wellbeing and consistency at the centre of its approach.
The role includes:
• Teaching a tailored primary curriculum to pupils with SEMH needs
• Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
• Creating a calm, safe and consistent classroom environment
• Working closely with support staff and therapeutic professionals
• Helping pupils build confidence, routines and a positive relationship with learning
This role suits a Primary Teacher who:
• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience with SEMH, behaviour support or complex needs, or a strong interest in this area
• Understands the importance of structure, boundaries and consistency
• Is calm, emotionally literate and resilient
• Enjoys working as part of a close, supportive team
• Small class sizes and a highly supportive staffing model
• A strong focus on staff wellbeing and work–life balance
• Regular training and development opportunities, including additional CPD days
• Support with professional development and further training
• Access to wellbeing support and staff benefits
• A stable, well-organised SEMH environment where staff are supported, not left isolated
This is a role where relationships matter, progress is meaningful and staff wellbeing is taken seriously. It will appeal to teachers who want their work to have visible impact and who value clear systems, professional support and a caring workplace.
