Start April or sooner
Contract Full time
A warm and inclusive secondary school in South Hampshire is looking for a Geography Teacher to join its friendly humanities team from April or sooner. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys delivering clear, engaging lessons and who values a supportive environment with strong routines, good behaviour and a genuine sense of community.
You will teach Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering well structured lessons that help students understand landscapes, environments and global systems. You will join a settled department with a positive culture and detailed planning already in place, making this an ideal role for both early career teachers and experienced Geography teachers.
The school has a calm atmosphere, supportive leadership and a strong commitment to professional development. Staff enjoy the balance of structure, creativity and autonomy within the humanities team.
• Qualified Geography Teacher with strong subject knowledge
• Confident in planning and delivering engaging, well sequenced geography lessons
• Keen to contribute to fieldwork, enrichment and real world geography experiences
• Strong communicator with a positive, collaborative approach
• Interested in joining a supportive team with clear behaviour expectations
This school sits in a particularly lovely part of Hampshire with easy access to both coastline and countryside. Teachers relocating from other areas often comment on the quality of life, the strong staff community and the outdoor opportunities available locally.
You will be close to:
• Portsmouth and the South Coast
• Countryside walks across the South Downs
• Ferry links to the Isle of Wight
• Easy connections to Southampton and Chichester
• A quieter pace of life without losing access to major towns and transport
For teachers looking to relocate from London or other cities, this area offers an appealing mix of space, community and affordability while still providing strong career development.
Staff also benefit from:
• Supportive departmental leadership
• Good access to CPD and career progression across the wider trust
• Clear routines that allow you to focus on high quality teaching
• A friendly, mixed staff body with a strong sense of belonging
Please send your CV to register your interest. Early applications are advised as interviews may take place upon receipt of suitable candidates.
