Geography Teacher – Secondary School in East London or Essex Border

Full time. Permanent. January 2026 start. Suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Geography teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school on the East London and Essex border from September 2025. This is a full time, permanent role suitable for both early career teachers and experienced practitioners.

This is a school where Geography is embedded into the Humanities department.You will join a department that believes in the power of language to shape thought, build empathy and spark ambition. Students are encouraged to write with purpose, read with insight and engage confidently with challenging texts. The curriculum is carefully sequenced, well resourced and built to inspire.

You will teach in calm, purposeful classrooms where routines are embedded and support is consistent. Schemes of work are shared across the department, with regular opportunities to plan together and reflect on practice.
