This diverse and vibrant school located in the heart of Mill Hill is now looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the hardworking, friendly and dedicated team of support staff, working with children with special educational needs and disabilities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. 

As a SEND Teaching Assistant working full time, your responsibilities will include:     

  • Supporting children with SEND - within the classroom and/or in smaller groups - to ensure they can access the full curriculum 
  • Creating a learning environment that is safe and stimulating and allows pupils to thrive academically and personally 
  • Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy
  • Working closely with children who have EHCPs and/or IEPs to support them to reach the targets and objectives they have been set 
  • Supporting non-verbal children in with Speech and Language activities

Working with children with SEND is very rewarding, and you will leave each day feeling a sense of achievement knowing you're making a real difference. 
 
This is a long term SEND Teaching Assistant position to last until the end of the academic year (with the potential of a permanent role thereafter), and as a result you will be able to see the progress your key children make over the course of the year thanks to your support.
