Role Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials to join our successful department. The role offers the opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students and foster a love for design and technology. This position is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology, focusing on Resistant Materials, across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the curriculum.

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS by September 2025.

  • Specialism in Resistant Materials within Design and Technology.

  • Strong understanding of the Design and Technology curriculum and assessment procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching.
