A relevant Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) Early Years or Childcare qualification is essential and previous experience in a nursery setting is preferred for this Early Years Practitioner position.
This is a full-time role to work 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday 8am-6pm) but this can be flexible, and it is a permanent position, offering stability. Located in Peckham, this is a lovely nursery that's easily accessed thanks to staff parking and good public transport links.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe and stimulating environment for learning through play and exploration, helping young children to build on their social skills, develop confidence, and supporting their personal, social and emotional development in their most formative years.
Following the EYFS curriculum closely to plan lessons and activities that are engaging and stimulating is a key responsibility for the suitable Early Years Practitioner, so it is important to have a good understanding and strong knowledge of early years educational practices, the early years framework and child development. Encouraging child-led learning and play will also be one of your key responsibilities.
