Primary SEND Teaching Assistant role - ASAP start - East London  
     
This diverse and friendly primary school in Gants Hill has a Primary SEND Teaching Assistant position available with an immediate start.  
   
Joining a team of dedicated support staff, you will work collaboratively to ensure every child is encouraged, supported and able to reach their full potential within a supportive, encouraging and nurturing learning environment.  

As a SEND TA your duties will include, but are not limited to:      

• Supporting children with SEND within the classroom and in smaller groups outside of the classroom when necessary 
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing     
• Working 1:1 with key children to support them to reach the targets on their EHCPs/IEPs
• Delivering learning interventions to small groups and on a 1:1 basis  
• Supporting children with their personal, social and emotional development 
• Closely monitoring the academic and social progress of key children, providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders where necessary   
• Providing a range of learning strategies and ensuring every child can access the full curriculum   
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities  

This is a full time (Monday-Friday) and long-term Primary SEND Teaching Assistant position expected to last until the end of the year, and this makes it a very rewarding role as you will be able to see the progress your key children make across the school year as a result of your hard work and support. You will build great rapport with students and with your colleagues, and will be an integral part of the school community!
