Learning Support Assistant position now available at a welcoming primary school in Hampstead! This school is in a great location, with excellent transport links making it easy to reach, and it's nearby to Hampstead Heath which is lovely for an after work stroll in the summer!

Working within a team of committed support staff as an LSA, you will be:   

• Supporting children with SEND so they can reach their full potential and access the full curriculum   
• Delivering learning interventions to students 1:1 and in small groups, monitoring and analysing the progress they make both academically and socially   
• Liaising with class teachers and the SENDCo to plan strategies and interventions for key children based on their progress   
• Providing support for non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities      
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing    
• Ensuring a safe, supportive and positive learning environment where each child is encouraged and able to thrive  
• Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies    
• Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs or IEPs  

 As this Learning Support Assistant role is long term and expected to last until the end of the academic year, you will have the chance to watch your key children progress and develop across the school year, seeing first hand how your support and hard work has made a difference.

There is the possibility for the role to become permanent in the future for the suitable LSA, and opportunities for career progression and further training.
