Are you a Learning Support Assistant wanting to start a new role in a vibrant and successful primary school? Then this opportunity is perfect for you!  

Located in Erith, Bexley, this primary school is looking for a dedicated and caring individual to work full time as a Learning Support Assistant. You will be joining a team of hardworking and likeminded support staff, with whom you'll work closely and collaboratively to make a real impact on children's lives and early development. 

As a Learning Support Assistant, your key responsibilities will likely include:     

• Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy     
• Supporting key children to help them reach the targets on their EHCPs and/or IEPs 
• Delivering learning interventions and monitoring the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups     
• Planning further intervention sessions based on key children's progress
• Working closely with the class teachers and senior leaders, providing feedback on key children's progress when necessary
• Supporting children with SEND so they can access the entire curriculum and reach their full potential  
• Ensuring a safe, supportive and positive learning environment where every child is encouraged and is able to thrive   
• Helping children to develop their confidence and ensuring they feel valued within an inclusive learning environment 
• Providing support for non-verbal children through Speech and Language activities   
• Assisting with the delivery of an exciting and balanced curriculum 

This is a long-term Learning Support Assistant role to last until the end of the academic year in July at least, and there is the potential for it to become permanent thereafter.
