Teaching Assistant role - Immediate Start - East London  

A very welcoming and diverse primary school located in Upton Park is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join the support staff team with an ASAP start!  
   
Working full-time as a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be: 

• Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs and/or IEPs 
• Delivering/assisting with the delivery of learning interventions, 1:1 and in small groups, helping the children to understand the agreed outcomes of these and the ways they can work towards achieving their targets  
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing    
• Supporting children with SEND in an inclusive environment    
• Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies     
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities   
• Closely monitoring the academic and social progress made by your key children

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be working at the school full time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-3:45pm, and the role is long term to last until the end of the academic year in July, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff in the future.
