Learning Support Assistant - Richmond

You can make a difference to children's lives working as a Learning Support Assistant in a friendly and diverse primary school in Richmond, SW London!   

As an LSA, you will be joining a team of committed staff working hard to support children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the full curriculum, and some of your key responsibilities will include:   

  • Planning and delivering a number of intervention programmes, or assisting with this 
  • Supporting children to reach the targets on their EHCPs and/or IEPs 
  • Ensuring a safe, supportive and positive learning environment where each child is able to thrive   
  • Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 or 1:2 basis 
  • Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy    
  • Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities   
  • Helping children regulate their emotions and building rapport with them  
  • Liaising with and giving feedback to class teachers and senior leaders 

This Learning Support Assistant role is full-time and ongoing, expected to last until the end of the academic year in July, which allows you to see how your key children progress and develop over the school year. There is the potential for the role to become permanent in the future for the suitable LSA.
