Job Description

Learning Support Assistant position with an immediate start at a diverse and successful primary school in Hammersmith. 
 
Working alongside other hardworking members of staff to support children with SEND to reach their full potential, you will be a full time Learning Support Assistant (working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm). 

As an LSA you will be:    

• Assisting with the delivery of learning interventions and monitor the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups  
• Planning/helping to plan further intervention sessions based on children's progress and where they need to improve 
• Providing support for children with SEND within the classroom and/or in smaller groups including 1:1 sessions, ensuring they can access the full curriculum 
• Creating a supportive and uplifting learning environment in which every child is encouraged and motivated 
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities  
• Working with and supporting key children with EHCPs and/or IEPs to help and guide them to be able to reach the targets and objectives they've been set 

You will be working with children across the primary key stages, following the school's aim of encouraging a lifelong love of learning for every child and helping to deliver the dynamic and inclusive curriculum.

As this is a long term and ongoing Learning Support Assistant position to last until the end of the academic year (with the potential to go permanent thereafter), you will see the progress and development made by your key children across the entire school year and feel rewarded knowing you've helped to make that happen.
