Job Description

Learning Support Assistant role to start ASAP at a successful and inclusive primary school in Hampstead!  

Joining a team of likeminded staff as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working full-time and making a real impact to children's lives.    

Working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm as an LSA, your time will be spent:   

• Assisting with the delivery of learning interventions and monitoring the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups   
• Supporting children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the entire curriculum, often on a 1:1/1:2 basis
• Creating a supportive and positive learning environment where every child is encouraged and is able to thrive 
• Providing support for non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities 
• Building a rapport with children and helping them to regulate their emotions   
• Supporting key children to help them reach the targets on their EHCPs and/or IEPs
• And more!

As this Learning Support Assistant position is long-term to last until the end of the academic year in July, you will have the opportunity to see how your key children progress and the development they make across the school year, making it a very rewarding role. There is also the possibility for the role to become permanent in the future.
