Greenwich - Learning Support Assistant to start ASAP

Located in Greenwich, this is a lovely school with great values and has a real focus on children's needs. Joining a team of likeminded staff as a LSA, you would be working full-time and making a real impact to children's lives and development.     

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be:    

• Delivering learning interventions and monitoring the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups    
• Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy    
• Working with key children to support them to reach the targets on their EHCPs and IEPs
• Supporting children with SEND so they can access the entire curriculum and reach their full potential 
• Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies  
• Creating a supportive and positive learning environment where every child is encouraged and is able to thrive  
• Providing support for non-verbal children through Speech and Language activities  
• Working closely with the class teachers and senior leaders 
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing   

This is a long-term Learning Support Assistant role to last until the end of the academic year in July at least, and there is the potential for it to become permanent thereafter, as well as career progression opportunities.
 
As you would be working with your key children across the school year, you will really get to see how they progress and develop as a result of your support - you will leave every day knowing you've made a real difference.
