Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant in West London 
 
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Hayes, Hillingdon is now looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the support staff team, with an immediate start. Positions available to support across the key stages.  

As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will be:    

• Supporting children with SEND (within the classroom and in smaller groups/1:1 where necessary) so they are able to access the full curriculum 
• Delivering specific learning interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups, monitoring the progress of key children and planning further sessions
• Providing a safe, encouraging and positive learning environment where each child is supported and is able to thrive academically, personally and socially 
• Supporting non verbal children with Speech & Language activities 
• Supporting key children to reach the targets and objectives on their EHCPs and/or IEPs
• Willing to work with children in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 
• Able to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm   

This is a long-term SEND TA position expected to last until the end of the academic year in July, which will give you the chance to be part of the school community. Additionally, you will really be able to see the progress your key children and the children you support make across the year as a result of your help, which is very rewarding.

There is also the potential for the position to become permanent in the future for the suitable SEND Teaching Assistant, as well as career progression opportunities. You will be joining a friendly and dedicated team of staff in a very supportive work environment.  
 
Maths and English GCSEs and prior experience in a childcare setting would be desirable for this SEND Teaching Assistant position.
