Job Description

Immediate start full-time SEND Teaching Assistant position to support children with SEND within the classroom at a friendly and diverse primary school in Heston, West London.   

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 with 1:1 sessions and by leading small groups, delivering targeted learning interventions and monitoring children's progress with this, providing feedback to the class teachers when necessary.

You will also be providing support for non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities, supporting children where they need help with communication, language and literacy, and working with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs and IEPs. 

Joining a team of dedicated staff as a SEND TA to work collaboratively to provide a caring, secure and stimulating environment in which every child can feel confident, you will ensure each student is supported, encouraged and able to reach their full potential.

Located in the London Borough of Hounslow, this inclusive and welcoming primary school is easily accessed by public transport, with bus stops and train/tube stations nearby, as well as parking being available too. This is a long-term role to last until the end of the academic year in July, and therefore you will be able to see the progress and development your key children make across the year, seeing first-hand how your support has made a difference. This SEND Teaching Assistant position is full time to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm.
