Lewisham - ASAP start Primary School role available now

This diverse and vibrant school located in the heart of Lewisham is now looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the hardworking, friendly and dedicated team of support staff, working with children with special educational needs and disabilities within EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant working full time, you will:    

• Support children with SEND - within the classroom and/or in smaller groups - to ensure they can access the full curriculum
• Create a learning environment that is safe and stimulating and allows pupils to thrive academically and personally
• Support non-verbal children in with Speech and Language activities
• Provide support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy
• Work closely with children who have EHCPs to support them to reach the targets and objectives they have been set

Working with children with SEND is very rewarding, and you will leave each day feeling a sense of achievement knowing you're making a real difference.

This is a long term SEND Teaching Assistant position to last until the end of the academic year (with the potential of a permanent role thereafter), and as a result you will be able to see the progress your key children make over the course of the year thanks to your support.
