Job Description

East London: Opportunity for a SEND TA with ASAP start

Immediate start SEND Teaching Assistant role available at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Goodmayes, East London.

Supporting children with SEND, you will be leading learning intervention sessions for small groups or on a 1:1 basis, monitoring key children's progress in order to plan further sessions.

Prior experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities is important for this SEND Teaching Assistant role as you may be supporting non-verbal children with Speech & Language activities, and providing support for children who have EHCPs or IEPs to help them to reach their targets and objectives.

As a SEND TA you will work collaboratively with the other support staff, as well as with the class teachers, to deliver the engaging and diverse curriculum and ensuring each child is able to access it fully by providing support to key children and helping wherever needed.

This supportive Goodmayes primary school has plenty of opportunities for training and career development and is a great place for any SEND Teaching Assistant to further their career. This is an ongoing role to last until the end of the academic year in July, with the potential of becoming permanent in the future.

Working long-term means you will be able to see the progress your key children make across the school year as a result of your support, and this is a full time role to work Monday-Friday (8:30am-3:45pm) to ensure consistency for the children.
