Job Description

Learning Support Assistant position with an immediate start at a diverse and positive primary school in Shoreditch.

Working alongside other hardworking members of staff to support children with SEND to reach their full potential, you will be a full time Learning Support Assistant (working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm).

Joining a team of likeminded staff as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working full-time and making a real impact to children's lives.    

As an LSA you will be expected to:   

• Assist with the delivery of learning interventions and monitor the progress of children with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups   
• Provide support for children with SEND within the classroom and/or in smaller groups including 1:1 sessions, ensuring they can access the full curriculum
• Ensure a supportive and uplifting learning environment in which every child is encouraged and motivated
• Support non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities 
• Work with and support key children with EHCPs to help and guide them to be able to reach the targets and objectives they've been set

You will be working with children across the primary key stages, following the school's aim of encouraging a lifelong love of learning for every child and helping to deliver the dynamic and inclusive curriculum. As this is a long term and ongoing Learning Support Assistant position to last until the end of the academic year (with the potential to go permanent thereafter), you will see the progress and development made by your key children across the entire school year and feel rewarded knowing you've helped to make that happen.
