SEND Teaching Assistant role to start ASAP in South East London

An inclusive and friendly primary school in Catford, Lewisham is currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team of staff. 

Day-to-day as a SEND TA, you will be:   

• Supporting children with SEND in an inclusive learning environment  
• Leading or assisting with the delivery of learning interventions, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Closely monitoring the academic and social progress of key children, providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders where necessary
• Supporting and working 1:1 with key children to reach the targets on their EHCPs  
• Providing pupils with a range of learning strategies and ensuring every child can access the full curriculum
• Encouraging development of vocabulary through speech, reading and writing  
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities 

Working full time Monday-Friday and long-term to the end of the academic year, this SEND Teaching Assistant position is a very rewarding role as you will have the opportunity to see how the key children you support progress and develop across the school year and you'll be able to leave every day knowing you have made a difference.
