Learning Support Assistant role available now in Ilford

Make a difference to children's lives as a Learning Support Assistant in a welcoming primary school in Ilford, starting ASAP!

As an LSA, you will be joining a team of passionate support staff working hard to help and support children with SEND to reach their full potential and access the full curriculum.

Day-to-day as a Learning Support Assistant you will be:

• Assisting with the delivery of interventions and monitoring the progress of children with SEND
• Supporting children with their personal, social and emotional development
• Providing support for children who need help with communication, language and literacy 
• Supporting non-verbal children with Speech and Language activities 
• Building a rapport with children and helping them to regulate their emotions
• A role model and someone the children can trust
• Ensuring a safe, supportive and positive learning environment where each child is able to thrive
• Working Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm

This Learning Support Assistant role is full-time and ongoing, expected to last until the end of the academic year in July 2025, allowing you to see the development and progress your key children make across the entire year and leaving you feeling achieved with the difference you've made. There is the potential for the role to become permanent in the future for the suitable LSA.
